Seed Processing and Their Steps
बीज संसाधन (Seed Processing):-
1. परिचय (Introduction):-
· परिभाषा (Definition):- एक बीज ढेर में से अशुद्धियों को पृथक करने तथा विपणन के लिए बीज को तैयार करने की प्रक्रिया को बीज संसाधन कहते हैं।
(The process of separating impurities from a seed lot and preparing the seed for marketing is called seed processing.)
· सिद्धान्त (Principle):- बीज ढेरों में पाये जाने वाले भौतिक अंतरों के आधार पर संसाधन मशीनों का चुनाव किया जाता है।
(Processing machines are chosen based on the physical differences found in seed lots.)
· बीज संसाधन के दौरान अनेक प्रकार की अशुद्धियाँ पृथक की जाती हैं:-
(Several types of impurities are separated during seed processing:-)
i. अक्रिय पदार्थ (Inert matter)
ii. सामान्य खरपतवार बीज (Common weed seeds)
iii. विषैले खरपतवार बीज (Noxious weed seeds)
iv. अपक्षय बीज (Deteriorated seeds)
v. क्षतिग्रस्त बीज (Damaged seeds)
vi. अन्य फसल बीज (Other Crop Seeds)
vii. अन्य किस्म बीज (Other variety seeds)
viii. ऑफ आकार बीज (Off size seeds)
2. बीज संसाधन संयत्र (Seed Processing Plant):-
· इसकी डिजाइनिंग 2 मुख्य कारकों पर निर्भर करती है:-
(Its designing depends on 2 main factors: -)
i. बीज के लक्षण (Characters of seeds)
ii. अशुद्धियों के लक्षण (Characters of Impurities)
· संयत्र की क्षमता बीज सफाई यंत्र की क्षमता पर निर्भर करती है। बीज सफाई यंत्र एक आधारभूत मशीन होती है।
(The capacity of the plant depends on the capacity of the seed cleaning machine. A seed cleaning machine is a basic machine.)
· संयत्र लेआउट (Plant Layout):- इसमें 4 मुख्य यंत्र होते हैं –
(It consists of 4 main instruments -)
i. Pre – cleaner:- बड़े आकार की अवांछित सामग्री को बीज से पृथक करता है।
(Separates large size unwanted material from seed.)
ii. Grader:- यह छोटे आकार की अवांछित सामग्री को बीज से पृथक करता है। यह अवांछित बीजों को आकार के आधार पर पृथक करता है।
(It separates small size unwanted material from the seed. It separates unwanted seeds based on size.)
iii. Intendent Cylinder:- यह टूटे हुये बीजों को पृथक करता है।
(It separates the broken seeds.)
iv. Specific Gravity Separator:- यह भार में अंतर के आधार पर हल्के बीजों को पृथक करता है।
(It separates light seeds based on the difference in weight.)
3. बीज संसाधन संयत्र इमारत (Seed Processing Plant Building):- इसके 3 मुख्य घटक होते हैं –
(It has 3 main components -)
a. सुखाई प्लेटफॉर्म (Drying Platform)
b. संसाधन क्षेत्र (Processing Area)
c. सहायक इमारत (Auxiliary Building)
a. सुखाई प्लेटफॉर्म (Drying Platform):-
Ø यह 10m X 10m का एक प्लेटफॉर्म होता है।
(It is a platform of 10m X 10m.)
Ø यह जमीन से 0.9m ऊंचाई पर स्थित होता है।
(It is situated 0.9m above the ground.)
Ø उपयोग (Uses):-
i. असंसाधित बीज को प्राप्त करने के लिए।
(To obtain unprocessed seed.)
ii. फसल बीज के छोटे ढेरों को धूप में सुखाने के लिए।
(To dry small seed lots in the sun light.)
iii. लकड़ी के तख्तों पर बीज के भंडारण के लिए।
(For storage of seeds on wooden plates.)
Ø यह संसाधन क्षेत्र से जुड़ा होता है।
(It is physically associated with the processing area.)
b. संसाधन क्षेत्र (Processing Area):-
Ø इसका आकार 20m X 10m X 6.5m होता है। 6.5m की यह ऊंचाई बीज संसाधन के यंत्रों व मशीनों को लगाने के लिए चाहिए होती है।
(Its size is 20m X 10m X 6.5m. This height of 6.5m is required for planting seed processing equipment and machines.)
Ø संसाधन हॉल जमीन से 0.9m ऊंचाई पर होता है।
(The processing hall is at 0.9m above from the ground level.)
Ø वातायन के लिए खिड़कियाँ होनी चाहिए।
(There should be windows for ventilation.)
c. सहायक इमारत (Auxiliary Building):-
Ø इसमें एक तो जेनेरेटर कक्ष होता है।
(There is one generator room in this building.)
Ø सुरक्षा के लिए चारों ओर दीवार होनी चाहिए।
(There should be boundary walls all around for protection.)
Ø एक ट्यूबवेल होना चाहिए ताकि निर्माण कार्य व पीने के लिए पानी की आपूर्ति हो सके।
(There should be a tube well so that water can be supplied for construction work and drinking.)
नोट (Note):- संसाधन संयत्र इमारत का निर्माण CPWD के नियमों के अनुसार करना चाहिए।
(The processing plant building should be constructed as per CPWD rules.)

4. Air Screen Cleaner:- इसमें 2 Air blasts व 2 sieves (Screens) का उपयोग किया जाता है।
[It uses 2 air blasts and 2 sieves (Screens).]
· 2 Air blasts धूल व हल्के भूसे को बीजों से पृथक कर देते हैं।
(2 air blasts separate the dust and light straw from the seeds.)
· 1st Sieve:- इसका छिद्र आकार बड़ा होता है। यह बड़े अवांछित पदार्थों को बीज से पृथक करती है।
(It has a large pore size. It separates large unwanted substances from the seeds.)
· 2nd Sieve:- इसका छिद्र आकार छोटा होता है। यह छोटे अवांछित बीजों को पृथक करती है। इसे Grading screen भी कहते हैं।
(Its pore size is small. It separates small unwanted seeds. It is also called Grading screen.)
